IEEE Robotics and Automation Society Congress 2018 at Quantum University, Roorkee

Quantum University, Roorkee organized first ever Robotics and Automation Congress in India along with IEEE Quantum University Student Branch and IEEE Robotics and Automation Society during 21st and 22nd  September 2018. This congress is mainly focused on robotics and automation effect on society. With respect to that, they organized a Panel Discussion & Presentation competition. To evaluate the competition various judges from the same field across the nation we present alongwith some guest lecture on the theme of this event. Participants across the nation were present to give their views on a panel discussion as well as presentation. Marwadi Education Foundation sent their two teams to represent the Institute at the National Level Congress and they secured 4 different positions on Panel Discussion as well as Presentation. First team’s participating students are Dharmik Bhavani (Electrical Engineering), Deval Dhariya (Electronics and Communication Engineering), Siddharth Sharma (Electronics and Communication Engineering) who were guided by Bhavik Bhansali (Research Associate, Smart City & Center of Excellence in Robotics Lab), they secured the second position on presentation and Dharmik Bhavani and Siddharth Sharma secured second and third position respectively on a panel discussion on the topics of “Artificial Intelligence (AI) creating unemployment or not”. Second team’s participating students’ name are Moyun Sherasiya (Mechanical Engineering), Akash Parikh (Mechanical Engineering), Smit Bhatt  (Mechanical Engineering)  who were guided by Nikunj Vaishnav Assistant Professor, Mechanical Engineering), they secure the First position on presentation. Judges and guest were Mr. Suresh Yaram, Mr. Rahul Kala, Mr. Arpit Agrawal, and Dr. G.C. Nandi.
