HOD's Message
Dr Nikhil Chotai (PhD)
HOD, Department of Automobile Engineering
To make our students industry-ready, the department has collaborative activities with industries, institutions and professional bodies in addition to the intense academic curriculum. Eleven different domain-specific laboratories are equipped with the equipment to meet the state-of-the-art technology from the industrial perspective. Advanced vehicle diagnosis laboratories and equipment are able to meet the current skill demands of the field. Revolution in the transportation vehicle from conventional Internal Combustion Engine to Electrical Vehicle has turned the focus towards Automobile Engineering. Even logistic innovation has influenced the automotive sector and demands more skilled personnel. Department laboratories are upgraded to shed light on the recent Electrical Vehicle sector, skilled requirements in the field of design, analysis, and manufacturing.
Faculty and staff are motivated to upgrade with advanced technology through faculty development programs. Department has various clubs i.e. SAE-BAJA, ASME, and Bosch Automotive to provide students with hands-on practice of real-life challenges of the automotive field. The students have proven themselves by participating in the national and international level competitions and secured high all India levels. Our graduates are working in Multinational Companies, Defense Services, and Academic Institutions in India and abroad.
