THERMAL ENGINEERING (MTECH)
Overview
As the energy and process sector in India is in a boom, the engineers with a strong background in thermal and fluid sciences capable of carrying out conceptual design have a key role. The primary goal of the programme is to provide sufficient theoretical, computational and experimental knowledge in the field of thermal and fluid sciences. It also encapsulates simulation and experimentation in the field of IC engines, power plant, aerospace and gas turbines.
The programme is designed to equip students to perform design related to steady state/ transient heat transfer, steady and unsteady fluid flow, multi phase flows, fluid structure interactions, estimation of thermal and pressure loads and coupled field analysis. The programme provides required numerical simulation techniques for design and analysis of equipments like gas turbines and accessories, steam turbines and reactor pipes, heat exchangers, compressors, turbines, pumps, propellers, rotor stator interactions, flow separators, inlet manifolds, volutes, turbo chargers etc. The course also introduces the student to experimental techniques like flow visualization, combustion diagnostics, particle characterization and other recent imaging techniques adopted in the field of thermal research.

Marwadi University is located on Rajkot-Morbi Road. You can take a city bus to Madhapar Chowk and from there, a Rickshaw Ride will drop you to Marwadi University which is a landmark known by all local drivers. It is 10 km from Bus Station, 12 km from Airport, and 10 km from Railway Station. You can easily find it on Google Maps if you want to self-drive to the University.

Q. What all Documents are necessary to bring in while joining the University ?
While you come for admissions, you need to carry your HSC and SSC results, school leaving certificate, JEE score card & registration slip (ACPC). We advise you to keep originals along with photocopies of the same.
