International Case Conference 2026

Scholarships and admissions

Tetr College of Business has announced a global scholarship for gamers, offering up to 100% tuition coverage for its UG programme in Business and Entrepreneurship.

Eligibility: Indian nationals who are studying in school (class 9 onwards) to PG programmes and have got at least 75% or 7 CGPA in the previous academic year and have an annual family income of ₹3,00,000 or less (school students) or ₹6,00,000 or less (college students).

The Mittal School of Business at Lovely Professional University (LPU) completed its MBA placements for the Class of 2025. Recruiters included Deloitte, KPMG, EY, PwC, HDFC Bank, to name a few.

Canadian International School Bangalore conducted its annual Terry Fox Run with over 1,000 people participating.

According to a Primus Partners report based on insights from 900 students, 239 teachers, 37 principals, and 348 micro-entrepreneurs, there is a strong demand for structured entrepreneurial learning. The report mentions that including entrepreneurship in school and college curriculum has the potential to generate 2,800 student-led startups and create 2.8 lakh new jobs across India.

The S.A. College of Arts and Science hosted SA Rhapsody 2025, its inter-college cultural fest. Carnatic musician Nithyashree, DJ Deepika, actor Yashika Anand, and singer Sam Vishal participated.

Biplab Pal, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics, School of Sciences, from the Nagaland University, replicated the patterns of fractals found in nature — such as snowflakes, tree branches, and neuron networks — in the quantum world. The research was published in the journal Physica Status Solidi – Rapid Research Letters.

IMS Noida’s School of IT organised an Internal Hackathon (Peace Code for Smart India Hackathon) with participation from 120 students.

The seventh International Conference on Sustainability Education (ICSE) on the theme Sustainability Education for Green looked at how STEM education, vocational training, entrepreneurship, and lifelong learning could be reoriented to meet the demands of sustainability-driven job markets. Benno Boer, Chief, UNESCO South-Asia, was the guest of honour. Other dignitaries included Kartikeya Sarabhai, Founder Director, Centre for Environment Education and Amit Verma, Director, Green Transition, Environment and Climate Change, NITI Aayog.

Smiling Tree launched its Roots of Change campaign to acceleratie climate action through community-led tree plantation, awareness programmes, and sustainability-driven collaborations. It aims to plant one million native trees across urban and rural regions by 2027 while also conducting sustainability workshops in 500 schools.

Pioneer Academics has released a study on the perspectives of international high school students on studying in the U.S. The report highlighted that nearly 91% of the foreign students still plan to study in the U.S. despite rising concerns. The organisation also released a new white paper, The Four-Hour Rule: A Data-Backed Framework for Pre-College Planning that offers insights into how extracurricular activities truly impact admissions to the world’s most selective universities. One finding is that students who spent between 4 and 10 hours per week on their chosen extracurriculars had the highest admission rates.

ApplyBoard’s latest Recruitment Partner (RP) Pulse Survey shows that the U.K. is maintaining its lead as the most attractive and welcoming destination for international students in Fall 2025. At the same time, Canada is rebounding, Australia and Germany remain competitive, and students are showing increasing interest in diverse destinations worldwide. Nearly 400 international student recruitment professionals contributed their insights to this survey.

Orientations and convocations

Muthoot Business School welcomed 24 students to its first Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) batch.

Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science hosted its 16th convocation where over 2,500 students received their degrees. H.E. Alem Tsehaye Woldemariam, Ambassador of Eritrea and Dean of Diplomatic Corps (India), was the chief guest.

IIM Mumbai held its convocation with P. K. Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister of India, was the chief guest.

ITM University Raipur held its 10th convocation where 474 students received their degrees. Doctor of Letters (Honoris Causa – D.Litt.) was awarded to Pradeep Tandon, President of Jindal Steel and Power and Manish (Maan Singh) Baghel, a rural development leader from Bastar.

Manipal University Jaipur held its fourth convocation where over 4,000 online students received their degrees. Mukesh Jain, CTO, Capgemini, was the chief guest.

The IITB-Monash Research Academy hosted a graduation ceremony, where 20 Indian scholars received their PhDs. Dignitaries included Megan Clark AC, Chancellor of Monash University; Shireesh Kedare, Director of IIT Bombay, and M.S. Unnikrishnan, CEO of the Academy, among others.

Chitkara University, Punjab, held its second convocation for its Online MBA programme. Boman Irani, actor, delivered the keynote address.

Appointments

AAFT appointed Malini Agarwal, also known as MissMalini, as the Dean of industry for the School of Digital Marketing.

Glion Institute of Higher Education has appointed Evrim de Groot as Assistant Professor; Alessio Delpero as Associate Professor of Strategic Management and Innovation in Hospitality, and Vaibhav Rustagi as the Campus Director of Glion London.

The University of Connecticut School of Business (UConn), has appointed Vishal Narayan as Associate Dean of Graduate Business Programmes.

U.U. Lalit, Former Chief Justice of India, will join BITS Law School as Honorary Professor of Law and teach a course on Affirmative Action under the Constitution of India and Other Jurisdictions.

Awards and laurels

S. Matheswaran from IIT Madras was declared champion at the inaugural edition of The Integral Cup, a pan-India Integration Bee Mathematics Competition, with Tanmay Budda from IISc Bangalore securing second place and Shobhit Jain from IIT Bhilai claiming third position. Over 3,000 students from 20 institutions participated.

SP Jain School of Global Management ranked 7 in the Asia-Pacific region in Bloomberg Businessweek’s 2025 Best B-Schools Rankings.

Excelia Business School ranked 39th globally in the Financial Times 2025 Masters in Management ranking. Four of its courses were ranked fourth recognised in the QS Business Masters Rankings.

Three programmes from ESCP Business School were ranked in the top ten of the QS 2026 Business Master’s Ranking.

Manav Rachna International Institute of Research and Studies ranked in the 76-100 band in the QS Online MBA Top 100 rankings globally.

The University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, the U.K., was named the Daily Mail’s UK University of the Year 2026, the Scottish University of the Year, and Runner-up UK University of the Year in The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026. The University of Sheffield has been named University of the Year for Student Experience by The Times and Sunday Times Good University Guide 2026.

Noida International University was conferred with the Outstanding University for Training and Placement Award at the second International Conference on Transforming Higher Education and Skilling towards Viksit Bharat @2047 and Education Excellence Awards 2025.

The NIIT Foundation won the Skill Development and Livelihood award at the Social Impact Conference and Awards (SICA) 2025, organised by TheCSRUniverse.

The Stanford–Elsevier (August 2025) database of the World’s Top 2% Scientists includes five faculty members from IIM Lucknow, 17 faculty members from Marwadi University, and four professors from Nagaland University.

MoUs and partnerships

Bentley Systems Incorporated, signed an MoU with Anna University, Kumaraguru College of Technology, and Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College to strengthen academia–industry collaboration in India and equip students with the skills and technologies for the future of infrastructure engineering.

IIT Kanpur has collaborated with Vietnam National University to foster academic and research collaboration in Application of AI in medical diagnosis and hospital implementation tailored for Vietnam, AI-driven education and research, including language learning technologies.
