M.E Chemical is a two years post graduate program in Chemical Engineering. The students who have completed B.tech or Bachelors in Engineering are eligible for the course. Chemical engineering covers designing as well as maintenance of chemical plants. In this postgraduate program the students study about the application of Life Sciences, Physical Sciences, Mathematics and Economics with respect to the conversion of chemical forms. The M.E. (Chemical) students are taught subjects like Mathematical and Statistical Methods, Process Optimization, Advanced Separation, Processes Research Methodology, Advanced Transport Phenomena, Advanced Reaction, Engineering, Advanced Thermodynamics etc. Along with the theory, students are also given access to the lab.
This course is open to plenty of job opportunities in manufacturing and service industries such as chemicals, plastics, power production, biotechnology, Tyre manufacturing, nanotechnology, mining process, mineral based industries, petrochemical, pharmaceuticals, nuclear energy, materials science, and development of new sources of energy.
