Before 4 years, when I was working with IT Company as a Business Analyst at Ahmedabad, my uncle and mentor Mr Rajesh Thacker one day suggested me that Pooja, you have the ability to start your own business looking at your nature, skill and characteristics and that inspired me a lot to take this huge step. At first instant, I was really excited but internally I was very nervous. A bunch of thoughts about investments, online business knowledge, leaving the job, starting everything fresh, future planning and many more stuffs was coming in my mind simultaneously. But I was very firm with my decision to start the business and of course where there is a will there’s a way. I am born and brought up in Kutch-The art and craft place, I am surrounded by talented artists. The luxury of a well-paid stable job couldn’t restrain my passion for connecting my roots so combining my IT and Art Skills I came up with the idea of Kutch Culture. For this success I will definitely give credit to MEFGI for enriching my technical skills, leadership skill, sports skills, hostel culture and most importantly being a member of IEEE I learnt a lot.

The biggest challenge I faced was that at first, I wanted to go for VLSI (Semiconductor Design), but at the back of my mind I wanted to go for DevOps. In the beginning of the 7th Semester we got to know that VLSI companies don’t hire people who have less than 60% in 12th board. So that was a blow for me and after that I started working towards software development. However, I got an internship for DevOps and worked for 6 months. That company was UK based and they took a seminar in our class and contacted our HOD for an internship. That’s when the journey started. MU provided much needed resources and environment for Engineering and getting placed in an MNC.

I got my inspiration for my current career option from Dr Dinesh Kumar. He was my mentor in my bachelor project in engineering. He has a very good experience of research in Biomedical Engineering. I did a lot of interactions with him through the last year of my engineering. Through him I got inspiration to choose this path of Biomedical Engineering. Marwadi University is a great platform for the students in terms of faculty members and facilities. I learnt a lot of extra stuff that is useful for me in the future i.e. MATLAB simulation and programming, microcontroller programming. Through the interaction with the faculty members only I got inspiration for my future career.

As a new lad, I merely had the idea that I am going to be a Civil Engineer, but the platform of MU helped me know various options available. Gaining the knowledge of options available, firstly I was able to decide that I should pursue my career in specialization of Structural Engineering. I believe there are two reasons which made me select this as my choice, one, it is believed to be a challenging domain and two which is most important, due to the way structural faculty members taught those subjects. MEFGI indirectly contributed with help of faculty fraternity that taught me and boosted my confidence levels at my worst times.

Classical Dance Performer and Trainer at Bharatanatyam Dance Class, Rajkot

Recognised as International Bharatnatyam Performer in Thailand and Indonesia and Awarded as “Silver Elephant Medallion Award” for Choreography and “Bronze Thailand Medallion Award” at Thailand International Folklore Festivals 2020.

Dancing was my passion from my Childhood. I was taking it as my hobby only. But during college functions and events I could find some new way to progress and to make a career in Classical Dance. Switching the Career was my biggest challenge. As I was doing a full-time job in my technical field of Environment and suddenly, I switched the field to grow from zero and start from scratch. But I was determined to follow my passion. MEFGI gave me chances to perform in different Events from where I can explore my art and discover my true passion.

In my initial days of college, I was fascinated with the idea of design and innovation. My constant learning attitude and innovative approach has been a stepping stone to pursue a career as a Design Engineer. My biggest challenge was the time I had on hand before my late joining period for the Company I work in. This didn’t stop me from being careless and sitting idle, so, I joined Marwadi as Teaching assistant and learnt a lot of stuff regarding Automation and Hydraulic simulation.
