INTERNATIONAL RELATIONS AT MARWADI UNIVERSITY

The vision of Marwadi University is to be a leading centre of academic & research excellence in India and the world since we believe we are living in the age of globalization. Globalization essentially means that new technologies are constantly changing both the economy and education. For Marwadi University, internationalization is identified as one of the most important strategic objectives for institutional development.

MU’s vision & its objective of internationalization makes it vital that students and staff internationalize all their intellectual capacities. With this in focus, all members of the MU community encourage fostering an environment of active research, teaching and other interactions on a regular basis with academicians and intellectuals from across the globe. By doing so, MU is looking forward to obtaining and exchanging the cutting-edge knowledge & skills required to serve the best interests of the academic community across the globe.

At MU, international academic cooperation is one of the tools to best serve the above purpose of convergence of knowledge, skills and culture in a global context. Also, international cooperation promotes MU’s public image and its visibility within the global academic scientific community and highlights itself in the global education market. For MU, International Academic Cooperation is also a means for enhancing and fostering an international atmosphere at our campus, thus promoting personal growth, tolerance and understanding of global responsibility among university stakeholders.

To accomplish its international strategic goals, MU signs agreements with various International Universities and Colleges to organise Students & Faculty Exchange Programmes for various Faculty Members and Departments therein.

For the same, MU has set up an International Relations Office (IRO) with the purpose to promote and facilitate international academic engagements of MU.

This Desk works in collaboration with all Faculties and Departments under MU and acts as a key point for all internationally & strategically important crucial engagements with universities abroad.

Student Ambassador Program

A student ambassador is the voice and face of your institution, someone that prospective student inquirers can turn to for information about applying to your school: both the practical, and the experiential.
The key role of a student ambassador is to engage with inquirers, answer any questions they have around joining your institution, and reassure and guide them in their journey. They are, in essence, fostering a sense of belonging amongst prospective students, sometimes before they’ve even applied!
Marwadi University has appointed student ambassadors from various countries who act as ambassadors of Marwadi University in their country. They give critical, on-ground information to aspiring students of their country and not only provide them with information about India, campus life and education at Marwadi University, but also receive them and make their initial days comfortable at the University.

Culture Exchange

Foreign students at Marwadi University celebrate Navratri, Diwali, Holi, Lok Mela, and Gujarat’s well-known kite festivals. When different nations celebrate their national days at Marwadi University, Indian students have the opportunity to learn about their cultures’ economies and histories. At MU, students from Tanzania, Mozambique, Ethiopia, and Bangladesh commemorate their Independence Day as a national holiday. On this day, the University encourages embassy officials and students to create special cultural activities about their nation, and arrange special food for their guests. As a result, Marwadi University has evolved into a Global village where all races, religions, and cultures are treated equally.
