STUDENT CLUBS

Introduction

A student needs to belong somewhere, be a part of something that defines them. For this purpose, the Student Clubs at Marwadi University are for the students and by the students. Clubs are related to the culture at the campus and are defined by various interests of students. Marwadi University is famous for the vibrant campus and has clubs of various domains like Astronomy, Networking, Cisco, Movie, Cultural and Innovation Club, Construction Club, Music Club, Fitness Club, Public-Speaking Club, and many more.

With these clubs students get something to belong to with which they can define themselves. They also develop related skills in the field and get an opportunity to use them in various events, activities, celebrations of the University round the year. By being a part of such clubs, they make friends outside their course and department and get more opportunities to socialise and grow.

01 Embedded Club

This is a club that deals with developing a hardware project and programming assembly language.

02 EPDaT Club

Electronic Project Design and Troubleshooting is a club that deals with developing insight for designing the projects, identifying and solving the discrepancies if any.

03 Aeromodeling and Robotics Club

This club deals with various activities related to aerodynamics, constructional experiments related to structure and flying capabilities of models which includes design, construction and testing of various flying objects like RC planes, RC Copters, Quad-copters, Bi-copters etc

04 HDL & Ardunio Club

The club aims at familiarising students with the latest electronics hardware for computation & control.

05 ORACLE Club

The aim of this club is to provide students with an understanding of the role database administrators can play in solving problems. It also aims to help students, regardless of their major; to feel justifiably confident of their ability to work that allows them to accomplish useful goals. MU has signed MoU with Oracle University to bring excellence for the students of Computer Engineering & Information Technology

06 ICT-Club (Spoken Tutorial-IIT Bombay)

The Spoken Tutorial project is the initiative of ‘Talk to a Teacher’ activity of the National Mission on Education through Information and Communication Technology (ICT), launched by the Ministry of Human Resources and Development, Government of India.

07 Linux and Scripting Club

The Club mainly works to familiarise students with Linux, scripting and fusion of programming languages.

08 Technical Interview Club

This club mainly works to prepare the students for the campus interviews by revising their fundamentals of technical subjects in company perspective.

09 C++ Club

This club is to teach the students object oriented programming using C++

10 Earthquake Awareness Club

A technical club in which students go to various schools and give the basic knowledge of earthquakes and demonstrate about the do’ s and don’ts during the earthquake.

11 Fitness Club

Fitness club spreads awareness and organises workshops on different themes to encourage the students to take part in physical activities.

12 Team-building Club

This club builds and fosters team-spirit, leadership and unity among the students by some innovative games or ideas.

13 Green Club

With the aim of preserving the natural beauty and environment, this club organises activities and events in the campus. These activities are aimed at spreading environment preservation awareness.

14 Astronomy Club

This club conducts various activities for the students of MU, which include astronomy quiz, projects as well as learning of astronomy by conducting lectures facilitated by various experts.

15 Movie Club

Regional, National & International movies are screened every fortnight at the auditorium. Movie Club maintains a large collection of award winning movies.

16 Technical Awareness Club

This club will create awareness among students about latest trends in IT and about the subject areas in IT as well

17 Construction Club

It is a technical club run in the civil department. One of the projects undertaken is to prepare a working suspension bridge of span 80′ in the campus to understand construction procedures and load transfer mechanisms.

18 AutoCAD Club

Technical Departmental faculty members are teaching the AutoCAD for civil engineering applications to make students industry ready.

19 GATE Club

GATE is the gateway to prestigious careers for graduate engineers. We offer comprehensive & rigorous training for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) in Computer Science. MU has a dedicated team looking after its preparation. The questionnaire solved in each subject, the study material provided and the various model exams conducted simulating the GATE pattern, empower the students to tackle the actual GATE paper with more confidence and secure the best ranks in the exam.

20 CAD Modelling Club

Experienced faculty members are teaching the CAD Modelling Software such as PRO-E that are used by industry.

22 ASME Club

Technical Event (ROBO is organised under ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers) Club at MU.

23 Cultural Club

This club provides a platform to faculty and students to unleash and showcase their talents through various activities. Many awards have been received by this club through participation in cultural festivals.

24 Music Club

Music club acts as a platform for the budding artists and provides a foundation by recognizing and promoting their talent.

25 The Public Speaking Club

The Public Speaking Club targets to develop the students’ competence to speak confidently and persuasively to groups of people. It provides a platform to the students for being effective presenters.

26 SAE Club

Technical events (Car Modelling, Car Design) are organised under SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) club at MU

27 IIIC Club

The basic idea is to provide an open platform to students, teachers and technocrats that will enable and foster new ideas and concepts for advancement of technology.

28 IBM Club

IBM club is to gain all the relevant skills, experiential learning & adaptation with current and upcoming technology & tools related to mobile application development using IBM Worklight and cloud deployment using IBM Blue-Mix.

29 ASME Club

M-CIRED – Marwadi Centre for Innovation, Research and Entrepreneurship Development is a major organ under the Secondary Institution, supporting multi and cross disciplinary programmes for technology development and advancement through research, eventually contributing to the economy.

30 Networking Club

The Networking Club aims at making students aware about establishing networks between two computers, configuring wireless access point (WiFi) router, troubleshooting the network problems, file sharing between two or more computers (Windows), introduction to the server operating system and virtualization software (VMware / Virtualbox).

31 Cyberoam Club

CYBEROAM is the only Identity-based Security Certification available globally. This training and certification will empower students with knowledge of Network Security and make them easily employable in the IT industry. The course enables security professionals to become familiar with the basics of networking and UTM security and delivers practical knowledge of deployment, configuration and management of Cyberoam identity-based UTM appliances in complex enterprise scenarios.

32 CISCO Club

The CISCO Networking Academy within MU Campus provides CCNA courses to help students succeed based on their backgrounds, interests, and objectives. These networking courses are designed to prepare students for career opportunities, continuing education, and globally-recognized certifications. CISCO Certified Network Associate (CCNA) validates the ability to install, configure, operate, and troubleshoot medium-size route and switched networks, including implementation and verification of connections to remote sites in a WAN.

CCNA curriculum includes basic mitigation of security threats, introduction to wireless networking concepts and terminology, and performance-based skills.

33 Innovation Club

Innovation Club is the crucible that helps to fertilise the embryonic ideas of the young minds through various means, mechanisms & expertise. Students are actively encouraged to participate and enlace their scientific & technical talent.

34 MATLAB Club

The main focus of MATLAB Club is to make students familiar with the MATLAB (Matrix Laboratory) tool. This helps them in understanding fundamentals of the programming skill
