At MU, we play a pivotal role in nurturing student’s ability to not only excel at academics but also in cultivating a winner’s mindset besides developing emotional and attitudinal intelligence.

The Department of Career Development strives to bridge the gap of employability skills and fulfills the requirement of industry by training students to achieve a level of compatibility and acceptability.

Our training programmes are meticulously designed to meet the industry expectations of students being professionally ready and able to showcase Critical & Creative Thinking Ability, Develop Logical and Analytical mindset, Handle Change and Challenges with ease, demonstrate high degree of Values & Professional Ethics, acquire sound ability to work in Teams, Lead and Communicate effectively.

Our in-house dedicated team of highly experienced and skilled faculties deliver in class and workshop mode training to empower students with improved levels of Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning that secures high-end campus placements and dream offers.

Through our multi-level faculty development interventions, we ensure that quality of knowledge delivery is second to none and faculty members maintain a high degree of acumen be it virtual, blended or in Face to Face (f2f) class.

Learning Philosophy

We learn by doing but we learn more from reflection and observation. Hence, we promote and design innovative learning formats to drive the concept so that learning becomes an experience.

Learning Pedagogy

Our team of trainers strive to offer impactful learning experience that happen through a series of activities, AVs & experiential learning that can be applied and put into practice. The learning format includes interventions that are self-oriented / group-oriented combined with sharing best practices in the industry and personal experience by inviting senior industry professionals.

Programme Objectives

The programme is designed to enhance the teaching and supplementary skills of the faculty and to make them aware of ever-evolving teaching tools and methodologies.

FDP provides an opportunity to acquire knowledge about current technological developments in relevant fields.

This programme promotes the professional practices relevant to technical education and motivates the faculty to achieve a competitive teaching and learning environment, thus channelizing development in the professional as well as the personal field.

Experiential Learning

Special Interest Group (SIG) Workshop Mode Experiential Training on various themes connected with personal and professional growth:

Faculty Development Program (FDP) Workshop Mode Training and One on One Coaching to Faculties of the University to ensure effective teaching and learning.

Participant Mix

The FDP is designed for teachers who have a minimum of 3 years of experience and are desirous of making the classroom teaching interactive. A judicious mix of senior and junior teachers is advised, including a blend of different streams of Science, Commerce, and Humanities. Teachers who need to develop their confidence levels, sharpen their teaching/facilitation skills will benefit most from this programme. Ideally a group of 25 would be the best number and thus, benefits from individual attention that can be provided.

Marwadi University Special Interest Group

identified with a shared interest in advancing a specific area of knowledge, learning, or technology where members cooperate to affect or to produce solutions within their particular field and may communicate, meet, and organise conferences.

SIG formed from the leading group of students who have secured a CGPA of 6, then goes through a special purpose skill training that is designed to upgrade their skills from the Second Year of their studies.

This programme is also structured to run as follows :

  • SIG 3 in the third semester focuses on Communication Skills and study methods
  • SIG 4 in the fourth semester focuses on Teaming and Problem Solving
  • SIG 6 in the sixth semester focuses on the Teachability – Assessment, Alignment, and Attitude
  • SIG 7 in the seventh semester focuses on Finishing Skills and Grooming with emphasis on industry expectations, finishing skills, grooming, and etiquette.
  • There is an optional SIG 8 in the eighth and final semester that focuses on people management, leadership, and personality building.

Group Discussion and Personal Interview (GD & PI)

As a part of the Finishing Skills Programme, the students are trained to participate in Group Discussions (GD). The methodology looks at two separate aspects viz, observation first and participation next. A group of 15 students first watch and observe another 15 students participate in a GD and then participate in the next batch with another batch in the observation mode. This process aims to strengthen their skills. Personal interviews are carried out with the help of invited experts from the Industry. Action points for improvements are provided individually.
