Electrical Engineering is one of the fastest-growing and largest fields, which generally deals with the detailed study and application of electrical energy generation, transmission, distribution and utilization. The department’s goal is to provide high-quality instruction and research that engages each student in a rigorous electrical engineering education and prepares them for a wide range of jobs in today’s technology market, allowing them to reach their full potential as an engineer and a member of society. It is also one of the most challenging branches with a blend of challenging subjects like Engineering Mathematics, Applied Physics, AC and DC circuit, Power System, Electrical Machines, Electrical Software, Power Electronics and Drives, Switchgear and Protection, Renewable Energy, Electrical Vehicle, Personality Development and more.‎ Electrical Engineering has a broad scope globally in today’s industrial requirements. Without electricity, survival is not possible. Due to diversities in current industry requirements, electrical engineering has been subdivided into various specializations like High Voltage Engineering, Power System Engineering, Renewable Energy and Technology, Power Quality Engineering, Electric Vehicle, Power Electronics and Drives. Each of these fields of Electrical Engineering has its relevance and role in the industry.‎

Electrical energy is the most efficient form of energy for long-distance transmission. Electrical Engineering is one of the oldest branches of engineering. It serves as the foundation for a variety of technical streams. Without power, we would be unable to function. Electrical engineers might work in the public sector, private industry, as consultants, or as entrepreneurs in design, projects, production, maintenance, operation, and testing, among others. Energy auditing, renewable energy sources, smart systems, automation, and electric vehicles, among other requirements, have created new fascinating employment opportunities for electrical engineers. Electrical Engineering Department, Faculty of Diploma Studies’ objective is to develop diploma-level engineers in accordance with industrial and societal needs. The department’s diploma holders will be equipped to work with cutting-edge technology such as microcontrollers, power electronics, renewable energy, and modern computer software. To accomplish this purpose, the department has assembled a team of highly qualified, passionate, and self-motivated learners who will serve as a teacher, a guide, and a mentor to young and enthusiastic pupils.
