Overview

The Masters of Science (Data Science) is a 2-year master degree program designed to prepare industry ready professionals who can conduct data-driven investigations and analytics using acquired data. The graduates will develop an in-depth understanding of data science and the techniques for analysis of qualitative and quantitative data to solve real life problems. Graduates will be able to predict trends and analyze data from various sectors such as manufacturing, banking and finance, retail, healthcare etc.

Eligibility

A candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination of BCA / Bachelor degree in Computer Science / Information Technology, or any Bachelor degree with Mathematics / Statistics/ Business mathematics as a subject at UG Level or at 10+2 level with 50% marks in UG (45% in case of SC/ ST category)

Provide solutions to the complex computing problems reaching substantiated conclusions using fundamental principles of statistical methods, computational science, and relevant domain disciplines.
Use appropriate models of analysis, assess the quality of input, derive insight from results, investigate potential issues and arrive at appropriate solutions for solving real-world problems
Acquaint with the latest trends in industrial/research settings and thereby innovate novel solutions to existing problems
Be prepared with a varied range of expertise in different aspects of data science such as data collection, visualization, processing and modeling of large data sets.
