Students from 25 institutes pitch startup ideas at AAU event
Vadodara: Students from more than 25 educational institutions across Gujarat showcased their innovative business ideas at Khoj–Dare2Pitch, a competition recently organised by AIC Anand Foundation, a Section 8 company of Anand Agricultural University (AAU).
The event provided a platform for young innovators to present startup concepts. Over 57 students participated, representing institutions including AAU’s College of Agriculture (Anand and Jabugam), College of Horticulture, College of Food Processing Technology, AIT, EDII Gandhinagar, Anand Pharmacy College, DDU Nadiad, MS University Vadodara, Neotech Pharmacy, Nirma University Ahmedabad, ADIT Anand, Sardar Patel University and Marwadi University Rajkot.

Under the Gujarat govt’s SSIP 2.0 policy, a panel of experts evaluated the ideas on parameters such as business innovation, scalability, and team strength, while also offering mentoring support.
“The selected students will receive incubation training and initial seed support to transform their ideas into viable products and begin their startup journey,” said Dr Samit Dutta, dean, College of Food Processing Technology, AAU.
