Objectives

The PEOs of the program are:

  1. To prepare students with the technical knowledge and skills needed to protect and defend computer systems and networks.
  2. To develop skills in students that can help them plan, implement, and monitor cyber security mechanisms to ensure the protection of information technology assets.
  3. To develop students that can identify, analyze, and solve computer security breaches.

Upon completion of the degree program, students will be able to:

  1. Analyze and evaluate the cyber security needs of an organization.
  2. Conduct a cyber security risk assessment.
  3. Measure the performance and troubleshoot cyber security systems.
  4. Implement cyber security solutions.
  5. Be able to use cyber security, information assurance, and cyber/computer forensics software/tools.
  6. Design and develop a security architecture for an organization.
  7. Design operational and strategic cyber security strategies and policies.
