Introduction

The sporting, fitness, and leisure facilities on campus are extensive. Sporting facilities include Cricket, Hockey, Soccer, Volleyball, Badminton, Tennis and Table Tennis. An athletics track, as well as a multipurpose sports arena and facilities for other indoor games, is proposed. MU has drawn plans to organize various intra and inter-college competitions and tournaments in all games and sports activities every year. These include Athletics Track and Field events such as race, long/high jumps, shot-put, javelin throw, discus throw etc. and numerous football, volley-ball, cricket matches and chess and carrom contests. Those who excel in sports activities are given various awards, prizes, medals, and certificates.

The school of yoga is positioned to help the staff and students to manage stress and pressure which prevails in the professional world and to promote emotional wellness. Flexibility and improved strength, enhancement of the immune system and improved balance and postural alignment are few of the targets of School of Yoga.

The University recognizes the importance of integrating theoretical knowledge with practical experience. Our curriculum offers a unique open elective course, “Wellness and Fitness,” that empowers students to develop a deeper understanding of healthy living practices and fitness principles. This credit-bearing course provides valuable insights into maintaining physical and mental well-being, complementing the practical skills gained through our workshops and competitions.

Furthermore, the department fosters advanced research opportunities through our Ph.D. Scholars program, nurturing future leaders in the field of sports science and physical education.

Sports Quota

Sports Quota

This category is intended for the two percent of seats that are available in each course. Sports-related benefits are not permitted for applicants who did not apply for admission under the designated sports category.

The only games, events, and sports that candidates requesting admission under the sports category will be given consideration are those that are part of the Olympic, Asian, or Commonwealth Games that immediately precede the year of admission.

100% scholarship on tuition fee waiver for international sports participation; Their sole expenses are accommodation and food. 75% scholarship on tuition fees waiver for medalists at the national level; 50% scholarship on tuition fee waiver for participation at the national level; 20% scholarship on tuition fee waiver for medalists at the state level; and 10% fee waiver for participation at the state level.

Designed to cater to aspiring sports enthusiasts and professionals, the course offers a comprehensive curriculum that delves into the intricacies of sports management. From marketing strategies to financial planning, event organization to athlete development, students will gain invaluable insights into the dynamic world of sports.

What sets this course apart is its flexibility. By offering classes exclusively on weekends, Department of Physical Education and Sports Marwadi University is set to ensure that students can pursue their academic aspirations without compromising their personal or professional commitments. Moreover, the course is taught by industry experts who bring a wealth of practical experience to the classroom, providing students with real-world perspectives and valuable guidance.

Marwadi University’s DPES commitment to excellence extends beyond the classroom. Sports Quota Scholarship

To participate in sports activities is the right of every child irrespective of race, gender, religion, and physical state. Sports provide opportunities for the acquisition of comprehensive knowledge, attitude, and skills which stimulate individual and group consciousness.

Therefore, the Sports Policy of Marwadi University is designed as a functional program for the promotion of the educational, physical, and psychological health of the sportspersons, to equip them with the appropriate skills, abilities as well as physical and mental competencies to live in and contribute meaningfully to the development of the society.

With the implementation of the Sports Policy of Marwadi University, the University envisions its student-athletes bringing laurels at various National and International stages.

1. Off-campus outstanding sportspersons who are getting training at various centers of the country such as SAI centers, centers of excellence or any public or private academies are allowed to stay at their training centers.

2. These sportspersons will be considered on duty and they will be entitled to duty leave and all other benefits of regular students.

Diet Money

Diet Money will be given as under:

a. International Medalists: Rs. 20000/- per head/ per month

b. International Participants: Rs. 15000/- per head / per month

c. Senior National/ All India Inter University/ Khelo India University Games

Kajal Dochak – Won a Gold Medal in the Women’s 72 kg category at the UWW U20 Wrestling World Championships held in Samokov, Bulgaria.
All India Inter University Circle Kabaddi (Women) – Secured 2nd Runner up place in the tournament held at Guru Jambheshwar University of Science and Technology, Hisar, Haryana.
Ms. Kajal Dochak (Wrestling), has been selected to represent India in the U-23 Asian Wrestling (Women) Championship in the 76 kg weight category. The championship is scheduled to be held at Da Nang, Vietnam, from 23rd-31st May, 2026.
Ms. Kajal Dochak, a BA first-year student, winning the Gold Medal in the 76 kg weight category at the Asian U23 Wrestling Championship in Da Nang, Vietnam. Demonstrating exceptional skill and dominance, Kajal defeated Kyrgyzstan’s Zhanybekova with a flawless 10-0 score in the final bout.
Mr. Sitender (Wrestling), has been selected to represent India in the U-17 World Wrestling Championship in the Freestyle 60 kg weight category. The championship is scheduled to be held at world's finest young wrestlers in Baku, Azerbaijan, from July 27 to August 2, 2026.
Marwadi University’s Sitender, representing India, has advanced to the Final of the World U17 Wrestling Championships in Baku, Azerbaijan, in the 60 kg category. He defeated Davit Mdzevashvili (Georgia) 10–0 (VFA) in just 3:47 minutes in the semifinal. Classification Points: 5–0 Technical Superiority: 10–0.
Marwadi University’s BA 1st Year student Anshika won the Silver Medal in the Women’s 75 kg category at the U19 Asian Boxing Championship, held from 3–16 July 2026 in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Marwadi University’s 1st Year BPES student Yashita has been selected to represent India at the U20 World Wrestling Championship, scheduled from 16–23 August 2026 in Bratislava, Slovakia.
The University congratulates Yashita on this prestigious selection and wishes her great success on the global stage!
Marwadi University’s Parveen won Gold in the Women’s Freestyle 50 kg category at the U20 Asian Wrestling Championships, held in Pattaya, Thailand, from 27 June–5 July 2026. In the final on 4 July, she defeated Shokhista Shonazarova (Uzbekistan) 13–2 to claim the Asian title. Her performance contributed to India’s Women’s U20 team finishing Runner-Up with 184 points.
