Overview

The Master of Science (Cyber Security & Cyber Law) is a new edge program that prepares the students to become Cyber Security experts. The syllabus consist of Cybersecurity Fundamentals, Ethical Hacking, Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT), Introduction to Cyber Laws and Digital Forensics. The program is divided into 4 semesters and the 4th semester is dedicated to Industry Internship. This gives completeness for the students to pursue their career in the field of Cybersecurity.

A candidate shall have passed the qualifying examination of BCA / Bachelor degree in Computer Science/ Information Technology, Engineering, or any equivalent, Bachelor degree with 50% marks (45% marks in case of SC / ST category)

  • Analyse and evaluate the cyber security needs of an organization.
  • Conduct a cyber security risk assessment.
  • Measure the performance and troubleshooting ofcyber security systems.
  • Formulation of cyber security solutions.
  • To independently carry out information security, penetration testing using standard tools and techniques for cyber security and forensics.
  • Design and develop a security architecture for an organization.
  • Design operational and strategic cyber security strategies and policies.
  • Comprehend and execute risk management processes.
  • Comparative study on the case studies of solution by different vendors.
  • Evaluate and communicate the human role in security systems with an emphasis on ethics, social engineering vulnerabilities and training.
  • Interpret and forensically investigate security incidents.

  • Analyze, classify and evaluate the computer network, its performance and information security needs of an organization.
  • Assess cyber-security risk management policies in order to adequately protect an organization’s critical information and assets.
