With the emergence of computers, we are witnessing a metamorphosis in the business world. Starting from multinational corporations to small businesses, IT plays a huge role in making life easy. IT plays a pivotal role in the field of Communication, Inventory Management, Data Management, Management Information Systems, Customer Relationship Management, and many more. IT has also helped in overcoming the restrictions through fresh concepts like online shopping, digital marketing, social networking, digital communication, cloud computing, mobile, and big data. Also, IT has developed various tools and software applications that reduce manual work.

Objectives
Information Technology is an emerging field of engineering that aims at collecting, compiling, and converting raw information into useful data. Information Technology has transformed the whole idea of manual work to be done digitally, thus reducing human effort. The curriculum for Information Technology is primarily designed to provide students with both theoretical knowledge and technical skills. It also enables the aspirants to solve complex problems. The curriculum also intends to improve a technological depth of knowledge and skills in analysis, design, implementation, and use of both information technology core skills and specialization skills. The students are also taught various fundamental concepts including information security, web systems, computer networking, and software engineering.
