Marwadi University Centre for Innovation, Incubation and Research is an incubation center aims to facilitate the future entrepreneurs to build their super own dream business through financial and infrastructural help. The incubation center provides them facilities, an ambience to develop their ideas, mentoring and networking to reach their goals of successfully forming a startup and thus becoming a milestone for other startups.

We aim to work on three axes at MU-I2R:
1. Promote start up culture through interventions at Pedagogical, Co-curricular and Social level
2. Implement MU-I2R Startup policy and support through Entrepreneur-in-Residence program
3. Provide Initial Hand Holding Support, Mentoring, Taxation & Legal advice, Infrastructure, Resources Support etc.

Incubation Centre is approved by Industries Commissionerate, Govt. of Gujarat

Innovative Idea: Innovation is the process of introducing new or making changes with updated technology, large and small, radical and incremental, to products, process, and services that results in the introduction of something new and innovative products.

Eligibility: Any individual/Group of individual having innovative idea will be eligible.

Duration: Incubatees will be permitted to be incubated at MU-I2R, for a maximum period of 36 months.

Selection/ Screening and Admission Process: The application for admission to the MU-I2R is to be submitted to the Incubation Manager, Marwadi University in the prescribed format.

Funding: Approved by State Level Implementation Committee, Govt. of Gujarat
1. Assistance for Innovation:

  • Rs. 10,000/- per month will be provided to the innovator as sustenance allowance for one year
  • Up to Rs. 10.00 Lakhs assistance will be provided for Cost of Raw Material/Components & other related equipment required for the innovative process for the new product development

2. Assistance once the Idea/Concept get commercialized:

  • Marketing/publicity assistance of up to Rs. 10.00 lakhs will be provided for the introduction of innovated product in the market

One of the most unavoidable challenge is parking vehicles. During peak hours, most of the reserved parking places get occupied leaving the user to search for parking place in another lot or in non-parking areas which creates more traffic. If various public places like shopping malls, multiplex cinema halls and hotels are visited during festive time or weekends, problem can be looked at better. In the recent research it is found that a driver takes nearly 8 minutes to park his vehicle reason being he has to spend more time in searching the lot.

To overcome this huge problem, there is indeed need to design smart parking system in commercial environment focuses on use of Internet of Things and image processing to figure out the availability of parking slot upon a request by the user from android application.
